For one thing, Yemen is not always fighting. I lived in Yemen for 4 years. I traveled from one side to the other in complete safety. I never once feared for my life and there wasn't any factional fighting when I was there. In fact, the last war was when the Russians were trying to take over Yemen, and just like their experience in Afghanistan, Yemen sent them packing.

Yemenis are some of the nicest people I have ever met. They have nothing but they really would give you the shirt off of their back...even if they didn't have another shirt.

After 30 years of Saleh, (with his vice president Hadi), stealing from and oppressing the Houthis, they finally have enough and revolt, while fighting al Qaeda, no less. They, who have centuries of history in Yemen, are painted as interlopers.

There is so much crap being printed and aired about Yemen, by so called journalists, who won't bother to get off of their butts to actually see what's happening first hand. Instead, they cut and paste press releases while drinking beer in Saudi, or Egypt or the UAE.

Every news, (and I use that word loosely), source spits out the same, Houthis are backed by Iran, crap...without daring to ask for proof. So far, not a single Iranian has been found in Yemen. The US, Saudi and Egypt have Yemen blockaded by sea and by air...so how exactly are they arming the Houthis?

Not a single writer has asked those questions...instead, they parrot the most dramatic fairy tail, which is; evil Iran forced the Saudis and Americans to bomb the crap out of the poorest and most defenseless country in the region, killing over a thousand, wounding ten times as many and destroying more thousands of homes. While doing this, they have blockaded Yemen, preventing food and medical supplies going in, just in case the Houthis might get some.

Even the caption on the photo is a steaming load. Allegedly caused by airstrikes? Really? That's the story you're trying to flog?

The absurd stories on Yemen and Iran show how far journalism has fallen. Remember the good old days when reporters would actually go to the countries they are writing about?
